Alia Bhatt Stuns In A 25K Saree At ITA Awards, Netizens Troll Her Calling It A 'Silver Foil Saree'

 

Bollywood actress, Alia Bhatt, is riding high on the professional front at the moment. The actress has been winning everyone's heart with her brewing success in the Indian film industry, as her every film announcement makes heads turn. The gorgeous and supremely talented actress has time and again proved her acting prowess with her performances in films like Highway, Udta Punjab, Raazi, Dear Zindagi, and the list goes on. However, the actress is in the headlines for her look at the ITA Awards that took place on March 6, 2022, in Mumbai.

Currently, she is enjoying the success of her recently-released movie, Gangubai Kathiawadi, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Alia Bhatt plays the role of a vulnerable girl, who turns into a brothel owner and a matriarch in the film. The film is based on Hussain Zaidi's book, Mafia Queens of Mumbai and reportedly, loosely revolved around the life of 'Gangubai Kothewali'.

On March 6, 2022, some of the biggest stars and superstars of the Indian film and television industry were spotted at the Indian Television Academy awards. Out of all the celebrities, Alia Bhatt stole the limelight with her stunning look and her trademark 'Gangubai Kathiawadi-style namaste'. However, a section of netizens was sceptical of Alia's look and trolled her for the choice of her saree. While some compared it with aluminium foil, many netizens labelled it as an 'aluminium foil saree'. One user questioned, "Pollythin pehni hain kya Alia ne?" while another user sarcastically lauded her outfit and commented, "Silver foil ki saree Nari sabpe bhari". In the video, we can also see Rakhi Sawant greeting Alia with so much warmth, and it triggered trollers, and one of them penned, "Alia se achi Rakhi lag rahi hain".
