Jersey Film actress Mrunal Thakur tests positive for COVID-19

 

The third wave of COVID-19 seems to be here and the B-town is once again is in the grip of this deadly virus. Several stars have already contracted the virus. And now, actress Mrunal Thakur, who has been keeping up busy promoting her upcoming film 'Jersey' co-starring Shahid Kapoor, has tested positive for the novel coronavirus. Confirming the news, she took to her Instagram handle and issued a statement, revealing that she has mild symptoms as of now and has isolated herself. Her statement reads, 'I have tested positive for COVID-19. 

As of today, I have mild symptoms, but I'm feeling ok and have isolated myself. I am following the protocol given by my doctor and health professionals.' She has also urged all those who came in contact with her to get their COVID-19 test done as she further added, 'If you have been in contact with me, request you to please get tested immediately. Stay safe everyone!' Meanwhile, keeping in view the rise in COVID-19 cases in the country, the makers of her upcoming film 'Jersey' have also postponed the release date of the film. The statement issued by Team Jersey reads, 'In view of the current circumstances and new Covid guidelines, we as a team feel it is prudent to postpone the release of Jersey. We will see you with our film as soon as we can in 2022. Wishing everyone a happy and healthy New Year'.
